Um, can we please go to Palawan (in the Philippines), tomorrow?
This jelly, Lobonema sp., is one of my particular favs because its ancestors lost their tentacles (similar to golden jellies found in the famous jellyfish lake), and then at some point this species RE-EVOLVED tentacle-like ribbons at the edge of its bell (and they’re such an amazing hue). I love finding videos of little-known jellies. And this one is a winner. Enjoy!
